Fast Food Analysis Assignment

a typical fast food type meal.

Pick the fast food establishment of your choice. Choose items on the menu that would make up your favorite fast food meal. Use the Fast Food Nutrition website to research the nutritional content of your meal.

Hint: Look primarily for calories and fat grams.

Also note the protein grams, carbohydrate grams, trans-fats (hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils), sugar grams, sodium milligrams, and fiber grams.

Using the guidelines from Nutrition and Healthy Eating, do an analysis and determine:

  1. How would this meal fit into your daily diet?
  2. How would the fat content affect your health?
  3. How does the fat content fit into your daily budget for fat intake?
  4. Does this meal contain more good fats than bad? How much of each?
  5. Are there trans-fats? How many?

Write up your findings in a word processing document and submit the file in the Fast Food Analysis Activity dropbox.
