B-Complex

The term B-complex is used because this is a family of water-soluble vitamins that are closely related and work synergistically together. In general the B vitamins support the health of nerves, skin, eyes, hair, liver, mouth, muscle tone, gastrointestinal tract (GI), and proper brain function. B vitamins make it so that enzymes can react chemically with other substances for energy production. They are very important for the elderly, as they are more difficult to absorb as we age. Another important reason that they are called the B-complex is the fact that they should be taken together although the dosages can be different. Now let’s explore them individually.
